TTFN Lovies

Hi lovies! Thought you had read the last blog of the summ? Sorry not sorry to say we got one more in us! Yesterday was our annual Fall Work Day, when Jabberwocky and island community members pitched in to get camp snuggled in for the winter. Thank you so much to everyone who came, it means so much to us.

And speaking of thank you's, bye! JK what we really want to say is THANK YOU!!! Thank you. You know that feeling at the base of your heart when you are so filled with gratitude and love for how your community shows up for one another? Yeah, well that's how we feel right about now. And honestly maybe most of the time. The deep warmth that just keeps getting stronger even when we thought it couldn't possibly increase. We just had a whole Summer 2025 of pure friendship and love that could light up even brighter than the sun (hmm that's pretty bright). This is because of you. You, who showed up for this community and brought the light.

As we well know, Jabberwocky is so much more than a space. It's the people. It's the people who make up this community make Jabberwocky what it is. To each and every person who makes up this community, we see you and want you to always know how deeply we love you. We promise we're not just saying it, truly can't do it without you.

And we can't speak to the people who make up this community without missing those who are no longer with us. We have been so lucky to know and love some of the most caring, loving, vibrant humans imaginable. This summer we remembered our friends and family who have passed, sharing stories and memories, knowing that they will always be a part of Jabberwocky. Because just like Pooh says "If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever."

Now the leaves may be changing color and the sweaters may be coming out, but we have agreed before and we'll agree again that the Jabberwocky magic doesn't freeze in the winter. It's there in the warmth you feel when seeing or calling a camp bestie for a catchup. It's there in the energy you feel when explaining Jabberwocky to a friend. It's there in the excitement you feel logging into a Jabberwebby session. It's there in every act of kindness and love towards others. The world needs that Jabberwocky love, so go spread it like sun butter (the safer option). Okay? Okay good.
