Pastas and Planes

Even though family camp came to a close this afternoon, we had SUCH a full morning to kick it off! We started the morning with a delicious frittata breakfast and the backdoor donuts queen finally got to bask in the shine of her favorite glazed donut. Then some of us went out to the airfield to chat with the birds and biplane the day away, while others stayed at camp to make fresh pasta with Tony. The fact that we all got to enjoy the fruits of their labor aka the pasta of their labor, was a gift to us all.

When the plane goers got back to camp, we ate some lunch, had our closing circle which might or might not have been filled with tears (happy and sad), and then made our way down to the ferry to say farewell. This family camp was truly the best opening to the summer that we could have asked for and we're so grateful to everyone who showed up. Families and volunteers alike, we can't thank you enough for your energy and love. We'll see you again real soon.
