Love You Long Time

Hi besties! We thought we heard the crowd cheering "one more blog, one more blog" so to come out on stage for an encore! This past Saturday, we hosted our annual Fall Work Day and had an incredible crew of Jabberwocky community members pitching in to get camp snuggled in for the winter. We cleaned vehicles before they go into hibernation, put porch chairs inside to keep them comfy and fresh, dried out umbrellas so they can recoup, and even had time to watch John S act out the Jabberwocky poem. Thank you so much to everyone who came, we are so grateful.

And speaking of gratitude, we're overflowing with it. How did we get so lucky to have a community that keeps showing up year after year to support this place and make it all possible? Words feel hard here because this kind of love and admiration goes beyond words. The friendship and love that we experienced at Jabberwocky this summer felt similar to the joy of seeing a field of the most colorful flowers and the warmth of the coziest snuggle. To each and every person who makes up this community, we love you more than words.

Now, though everything is now pumpkin spiced and the sun is beginning to set a little earlier, we have discussed this before, but here's a little reminder. Jabberwocky magic doesn't freeze in the winter. It's always there and there's always extra when you're feeling in need of some more. It's there in the warmth you feel when looking over summer photos. It's there in the boost you get while chatting through memories. It's there in the excitement you feel logging into a virtual Jabberwebby zoom sesh or seeing a camp friend in the off season. It's there in every act of kindness and patience towards others. The magic exists because of the people who make it so. It exists because of you. And it doesn't just stop, it grows a little more and more each time it's shared. So share it, the world needs it and we have plenty.
