Happy Days with Adam

After a late night of drumming on the beach yesterday, we had a late wake up. I'm sure campers and counselors alike appreciated the extra rest.
We began the day with some excellent breakfast burritos. I personally partook in a veggie burrito with eggs, black beans, potatoes, peppers, and onions. Personal preference, but you can't forget the Cholula.
We continued with Jabberday Live, with some campers singing songs, like Chris B., Gracie, and James Brown.
Next up were classes. For the first class session, we had the option of Art with Madeline or Movement in the Studio. In Art, we painted pieces of wood that we'll later add words to, and hang up together. In Movement, campers were playing the drums while others danced. Counselors stopped the drummers to play some music on the speakers to dance to. A conga line soon formed.
The second class session was Art or Candy Sushi. For the latter, we crushed a Rice Crispies Treat, added a Fruit Roll-Up for the seaweed, and Swedish Fish for the filling. (Personally, I prefer them separately.)
Then came lunch with sandwiches of all kinds and leftover salads from our drumming cookout.
With our second meal finished, we got our swimsuits on and took off for the beach. We had great weather; not too hot, not too cold, and some sun. I heard snippets of conversation in Spanish from Kevin and Athena, while Pauline, Sarah, and I played Cribbage. Kyle stayed in the water the entire trip.
We returned to camp and found the cooks preparing the pulled pork for this evening's dinner, with Soph helping with the mac and cheese. Drew made me the taste tester as he shredded the pork.
We had a quick dinner as we had to make it to Mad Martha's in VH or Illumination in OB. My counselors and I went to Illumination. As we waited for the lanterns to turn on, a large group of us took pictures in the golden light of an unbearable sunset.
The group then went to Liv's house to say hi as we ran into Emmy. The group continued to Happy Days, the original Jabberwocky house, where we stopped for a while. The lanterns finally came on as we walked around, taking in the sights.
We came back to camp late and went to bed.
Love,
Adam (and Camp)
